BCFMWU Stands in Solidarity with the
Hilton Workers of Unite Here Local 40

Hilton Vancouver Metrotown locked out workers on April 16, 2021 after a one day protest strike objecting to the firing of 97 long-term staff “due to COVID”.

Workers have been locked out and picketing everyday for the past year, making this the longest hotel lockout in the history of BC!  Local 40 members include workers from many immigrant and First Nations communities, with the majority of them being women.

Tomorrow, Thursday, April 14th, a 1 – Year Hilton Metrotown Lockout Rally will be held. Join the rally and help send a strong message to the Hilton and large corporations who continue to profit from staff and take advantage of COVID.

Let’s stand in solidarity with them in demanding better for the worker.

Rally details:

Thursday, April 14 at 5 PM
Meet at 6083 McKay Avenue in Burnaby
Bring your noisemakers!
