#DayoftheSeafarer is Friday, June 25, 2021. This public day of recognition highlights the efforts and hard work of the many seafarers who work in the marine industry along our coast and as well as solidarity with seafarers nationally and internationally. On this day and every day, the Union is encouraging support for a  #FairFuture4Seafarers and #Safety4Sea for all seafarers everywhere.

Over the past year, through an unprecedented time, seafarers have continued to serve their local communities and communities around the globe. New technology, training and semi-autonomous vessels are top of mind for the safety of seafarers worldwide. The repatriation and crew change challenges for seafarers throughout the current pandemic deserves consideration and action from the International Maritime Organization.
