Bargaining Update: Dispute Resolution Panel Award Review
As you know, our recent negotiations with management have been intense, but we are pleased to inform you that significant progress has been made. We encourage all members to visit www.BCFMWU.com to review the Dispute Resolution Panel (DRP) general and special wage interest arbitration award, which has been a crucial milestone in our 2023-2024 bargaining process.
The DRP award represents a culmination of our collective efforts to ensure fair treatment and just compensation for all Union members. It outlines key provisions and background of the award between the Union and management, further it reflects our commitment to addressing issues and concerns raised during negotiations.
We are pleased to report that disputes regarding the application of the award as written have been resolved by both parties. This collaborative approach demonstrates our shared dedication to finding mutually beneficial solutions and moving forward in a positive direction.
Furthermore, we anticipate that payouts related to the DRP award will proceed on time, with disbursements expected by the end of the month. This is a significant achievement that underscores our ability to effectively advocate for our members’ rights and interests.
