BCFMWU Locals

You are here

The members of our 11 unlicensed Locals make up the majority of our membership. These Locals represent workers from a diverse range of jobs from the ships, terminals, and head office.

The Locals are the lifeblood of our Union. Shop Stewards and Local Executives police the Collective Agreement. Local Committees take grass roots action on workers' rights including human rights, safety, and good & welfare. Many Locals have social gatherings to bring workers and their families together and to give back to their community.  Local meetings are your primary point for participating in your Union and having your voice heard.
